The History or Story
Chance was born to Kathy and Robert Taylor.
Robert and Michael are brothers, Michael Jr. and Chance were cousins.
Chances parents were arrested on drug charges and later murder and chance was awarded to the state at the age of 6, where he spent the next year in foster care.
Michael Taylor Sr. filed with the state for adoption of Chance, as we all know the state works slowly and it took a year of filing and fighting but in the end Chance was awarded to Michael Taylor.
Chance at once clung to Michael jr. and they formed a bond that could not be broken. If you saw one you knew the other was not far behind.

Michael Jr. had began playing around with singing and it was discovered, he was pretty good.
When Chance turned 8 he started going to voice lessons with Michael Jr.and where he wasent taking lessions he would sit and watch Michael,Chance started singing a little backup with Michael and Seems Chance was also good at it and the two with a friend they called Mr.Mike formed The Dixieboys and started recording.

Saint Patrick’s day 2002 was to be the day that Michael and Chance hit the big time, With over 250,000 people being there over the three day celebration a lot of people heard them perform, afterward offers from such names as Sony, RCA records started pouring in wanting to sign the boys to a record deal. Mr. Taylor and Mr.Mike did a very smart thing, he had a lawyer look over the contracts and it was discovered that not only would the record labels own everything that they recorded, they also wanted them to go on the road on a exhausting tour. Mr. Taylor said no, and decided to build his own recording studio. And he did just that, Radical Recordings was completed in just 2 month, and the boys started recording. It was to be a very short beginning. Michael started doing drugs and in April took a over dose, Chance told there father and Michael was placed in a rehab center, I think 2 weeks into treatment Chance fell victim to the deadly flu that was going around and was hospitalized and not expected to recover from it, with extremely high fever he slipped into a coma and the family was called in to visit with him one last time, Michael was released from rehab and from the day he got there never left Chances side.
Then something unexpected happened, Chances fever broke and he opened his eyes,
With tubes down his throat he could not speak, so to show Michael he was ok he gave him the finger. Chance made a complete recovery, there were a lot of children not so lucky, and in Georgia alone what came to be known as the super flu took 15 kids.
Michael was having a hard time staying off the drugs and he went into a deep depression, and on May 30, 2003 he put a gun under his chin and pulled the trigger.
It was Chance and a friend that found Michael just minutes after the shooting, Chance tried to stop the bleeding as Joey called 911, They said Michael was dead before he hit the floor.
Its been a hard 11 years for Robert Chance Taylor, The death of his brother, his best friend still to this day haunts him. He has good days but still has bad days to.
I belive what has kept him going has been the music, it was a dream of Michaels and it looks like Chance is going to keep that dream alive for him.
